Beige wednesday

Yesterday I went out to grab a coffee with a friend! I'm feeling rather isolated while my flatmates/people I rent a room from/uh are away, the lucky bastards are in Japan on vacation! Ah, the flame of jealousy! But luckily enough I get to grab coffee with friends, and another friend spent the weekend here! I finally got a chance to see the Botanical Garden here in Uppsala, which I believe was started by none other than Carl Von Linné(You know, the guy that pretty much named every flower in the world.). It was quite nice, and they had a very overpriced coffeeshop. I forgot my camera that day, though.

Anyway! What I was really talking about, yesterday. Here's what I wore!
And look, I even attempted something with my hair! Spent a day watching youtube tutorials for frenchbraids until I finally found one that wasn't super speeded and going "This hair over that hair over thiis hair over that hair over there!" but instead kinda slow and pedagogic. Nice.

Oh well!

Pulled a bitchface here, but thankfully there's paintbrushes for that!

Oh! And my face! In another resolution than instagrams. Don't mean to look grumpy, the corners of my mouth are chronically pointed downwards, even when I smile. :( this smily shows what I look like when I'm happy.

I'm quite happy to have succeeded in doing something with my hair tho. I have supercrazy fine and soft hair, so, yeah. *whine*

In retrospect, I see that I went a bit wild on the blurring.. Hmm.

I hope your weather is as cold as mine! Autumn is just around the corner!

Galaxy nails and outfit

My computer started working again! Woo! I'm running it without the battery though, but nevermind, it works! And I even accidentally stepped on it just a couple of minutes ago, and it works! What? What kind of sorcery is this?

I have lots of things to post, mainly buys(all shops are walking distance!), but some other things too!
I'm kind of in a crunch right now though, I desperatly need to get to the shops before they close! I had forgotten how cold swedish summer is, so I need to go see if they have any cardigans from winter that they're trying to get rid of for super cheap haha~

But anyway, here's what I wore the other day when I went out for some retail therapy with my friend. I tried to make that nekomimi hair that's been showing up everywhere recently. And, I cut bangs! I had a really tough day, and well, somehow I always end up cutting bangs.
Dress: H&M Cardigan: Cubus
And I've slowly gotten back into doing nail things. I tried out galaxy nails , which was surprisingly easy! It's my first try though, so of course they aren't "Omg it's like GALAXIES. ON YO NAILS!!", but with some practise, maybe?

Oh, and as you may or may not have noticed, I added a little instagram widget to the right! If you feel like following it, please do :D I abuse it a little too much though, but there's lots of kitty pictures and trinkets.

Gettin ma nerd on.

Looking at this picture I realize how much a pair of circle lenses actually does for your look. It's my usual makeup, but without the lenses it doesn't look at all as extravagant.

Anyway, it isn't about the makeup anyway, it's about the hair! Trying, as usual to do something about it, but I have to say that this time I kinda like it. It maybe isn't the style I was aiming for, but, regardless, it's something else than straight hair!

(My roomies dekame btw, I was psyched he bought them, means I don't have to buy any myself, haha)

If you have any tips on what to do with .. hair. Please do tell, I don't know anything, haha.

10 January 2011

Oh my, this day!

This day has been so exhausting in so many ways.
Woke up at six, got nearly choked to death, combined with violent hugging when being dressed, wanting to chop off my feet, beeing surrounded by hordes of people wanting pictures.

But it's been a wonderful day.
What day it was?
成人の日! Or, Coming of Age day, and I participated!

Too tired to write something coherrent, and sort trough the pictures,
but here's the mandatory purikura!

Stay tuned, tomorrow I'll make a real post about it!

Salon exte!

Woot, I has it!
After reading about it at Graphic Noise's blog, I really wanted to try it! And after some shifting on my supposed-to-be christmasmoney (that I receive, not my funds to by other people things!), I got to do it! Waah!

I made it over at Extensions Tokyo, with a Hot Pepper coupon wich landed it all on 9990yen, for 100g human hair extensions! I don't know how much strands that is, but over 50 I believe? It's also right over my navel, so quite long, too! If the gomi on them breaks, it costs 20 yen for them to braid it in again, and if you loose the entire strand it costs 300 for a new one.
It was my first time to ever do extensions at a salon, and my third time ever to even go to a salon, so I don't really think I'm in the position to write any review on it.. But if you look at Graphic Noise, she wrote a really good one!

All I can say is; I'm super satisfied and am going to start saving up NOW in order to afford new ones when these one's are worn out, haha.

Pic for reference! It looks MUCH darker than it actually is though, but I'll try to get a better picture soon ~~ And please excuse derpface of doom..

All in all I'm very very satisfied, and now I'm off to brush my hair and pretend I'm Rapunzel light.

It's been my dream for many many years to have long hair, since I haven't managed to go over shoulder lenght for the past 6 years, so going to bed with long hair, and waking up with long hair was really similar to the first time I went to bed with 20/20 vision and woke up with 20/20 vision! Haha.

Changes~

So, finally my big hair-plan worked, after a couple of months of trying!
I'm now a brunette! (My milkytea hair was actually multiple dye mistakes)

Crazy hands are crazy

So, what do you think? :D
The SUPERLIGHTS in the puri booth makes it look lighter, it's darker IRL, but I'm anyway going to dye it again so it becomes darker(and less prone to become green 'cause my serious lack of red pigments).

Been going to Nakano alot lately! Or well, two times this last week, haha.
Anyway, I found a gold mine there, "Mode Off" (in Sunmall), it's a second hand shop with *gasp* reasonable prices! That's like, RARE in Japan! (or anywhere else!).
Bought a dress, hoodie and a prettipretti cardigan for just 1300yen. Alltogheter! Crazy, I know!
Also available in the store is a Vivienne Westwood bag for the whopping price of 6000yen.
If I didn't dislike that particular pattern I'd be on it in a heartbeat. Also found some different gyaru brands, like ANAP, Cecil Mcbee etc. And of course brands like Ralph Lauren, Miu Miu etc, all for very reasonable prices, and in top quality!
Love the place, check it out!

Oh snap!

As of today, actually, I decided that I should try more with my hair!
Since my hair is kinda short (shoulderlenght), and very very thin, I've never had the guts to do anything, because the kind of hairstyles I wanted is all for superlong and superthick hair!

However, I saw that donut buns are ... cool. So I decided to try it out! Lo and behold, I managed to make one!

Crappy webcam picture, yay!
You can kinda see it sneaking up there, no?
I'm gonna try make it higher the next time.

I actually never knew you used socks or big scrunchies to make this look, I always thought people just had amazingly thick hair, haha!

Going to be using it as a everyday style from now on, since it's still too hot for me too keep my hair down, I don't like when my hair becomes icky, + since my hair is thin it shows directly if it get's even the least bit wet(I'm a same, I can't handle heat well), with thicker hair you kinda get some time inbetween first sweat and before you look like you put your head in a greasepan, with thin hair, you get 0 seconds!

I need a camera..

And, tadaah! My new bag! Not looking much, maybe (all because of sucky cellphone camera, I promise!). But it's GREAT. It's huge enough to fit in all my school stuff + more! It's a bit bigger than an a4 paper, and very deep. And, it has 10, count em' 10! outer pockets! I'm a pocket-o-holic so that's wonderful junk for me! Also, it has a detachable shoulderstrap, wich is really handy! The bambi is kinda a spacefiller. It doesn't feel right for the bag though, but I'm gonna go to 109 and Harajuki this week I believe, so maybe I'll find something! (I'm really thinking about getting a ridicilously huge furry tail to put on it, it'd look great).

So many poockeeetsss

Also, finally bought the October issue of PopSister! Been eyeing it a while, but today I just simply couldn't resist! I'm really rolling towards that style, and this issue had some nice tutorials for my length of hair(gotta love that Tsubasa Masukawa has short hair!).

Crappy cellphone pics of the tutorial pages! :D

Really love the one on the left bottom of the
right side(Blue with white dots shirt), it's really nice.

A korean tourist came up to me and my male friend and told us we were beautiful people and wanted to take a picture with us, we agreed, and when he told us he was korean I took the chance to demonstrate my mad korean skillz by saying "Annyou!"(spellcheck?) wich means hello in korean. Ah, I'm a multilingual genious! (no, not really)
