Forest day

Today, me and my roomies took our bikes and biked for a total of 10km's, out to the forest! This is from when we we're waiting for their friends, standing in the middle of nowhere(but they had bike paths!).
So.. much... moss..And under the moss, puddles, and more puddles. My socks were dripping when we got home.
Too busy taking pictures, so I kept falling behind.
And the reason for it, chanterelles! We swede's be crazy, biking for 10kms, trekking in the forest, getting our shoes wet and battling mosquitos. But we got 10litres all together!

Northern lights!

Thanks to the solar storm the other day, we had some Northern Lights!
I was surprised to be able to photograph it with my digicam!
They did of course not turn out as great as the ones you usually see, but, anyway, I'm happy with them!

One of the few nice things about living in Sweden is the possibility to see this, haha.
Did you know that if you whistle during northern lights, it becomes more intense?
It's not scientifically proven though, pretty much nothing about it is, except for "Hey, they're like, moving and stuff".

300th entry and Happy New Year!

Happy new year everyone, I hope your new years eve was awesome!

The days leading up to new years eve was amazing, I visited the town I grew up in and got to meet my chums again! It's been over 2 years ago since I last met most of them!
But that's what's great, even though we haven't met, or even stayed in regular contact, we all just met up and it was like we were in high school again.

For new years me and Zara(who visisted me last winter), went down to visit another friend and celebrate new years together!
Of what I can remember it was a lot of fun, haha.

Anyway, this was what I looked like!
It was a house party(i.e: I didn't really feel like whippin' out the ball gown), so I might not look as fancy as most people did on NYE haha.

On monday school starts, and I haven't gotten hold of the books yet, ahh.

Annnd! As the title told, this is the 300th entry I made on this blog! Woh!

Country life

So, my fifth/fourth day back in Sweden. Everything is going suprisingly well! My bag finally came yesterday, so now I can dress, haha.
I'm pleased that I'm not torn apart inside over leaving Japan, since I thought I'd be completly depressed, haha. But I think I left at a good time. Two years is a long time, and the last 6 months I didn't do anything. I want to live in Japan, but I want to do something, school, work, anything, and right now there's nothing there I can do. I'll soon be back there, anyway!

Things are rolling on good here, thankfully! I'm gonna join the local gym, the last two years haven't been nice to my body, but hopefully with some exercise and home cooked meals I'll be healthy and fine in no time! And next week I'm going to start taking driving lessons!
Gonna sign up for adult school this week too!

So, what do you do in a village? Let there be pictures!
(Yeah, I abuse instagram lately, it's one of the few sources of entertainment I have)

My mother is unknowingly really trendy with her interior, I noticed!
Went to Systembolaget for the first time! You have to be 20 in Sweden to buy hard liquour. I got candy!
The view. Quite different from the view I had in Tokyo.
Raided my grandmothers attic, 7 wool berets and a nifty suitcase!
Kuro, the kittens mother. She rules with an iron fist!

Shopping therapy

Came up with the wonderful idea to show away the feelings about leaving Japan!
Or, well, to shop for autumn. If I'd stay stay in Japan I wouldn't be able to wear anything autumny until perhaps October, but now, I'll be able to wear it in two weeks!

Went by g.u (oh how I will miss thee lowcost shoppingparadise!!), and bought two pieces that I've already planned for. These will go completly unused until the day of arrival. They'll both be in my carry on luggage, ready to be taken out and worn as soon as I hit Swedish ground.
They might not look like much, but they're both made in "cashemere touch"(closest to the real deal I'll get!), so it'll be comforting to have something warm and snuggly, I believe!

The cardigan is rather big/long, so I'll throw in a thin belt and voila, ready!

As usual I amaze my surroundings by having death fights with vacuum bags to be able to fit my stuff into boxes to ship off, while at the same time buying more things with the mantra "I'll bring these in my bag, I need these for fall/winter!".

Announcement

It's been decided upon for a while, but I didn't want to write it here until the ticket was booked, since I figured that'd be final.
On the 15th of September I'll be moving back to Sweden.
Booking the plane ticket was terrible. Even though I'll be going back to Sweden to fix things in order to go to a japanese university, it still feels terrible, seeing how it'll take atleast 2 years until I can come back here. (edit: 2 years, because I need to finish school in Sweden)

I've been living in Japan for two years(heading to sweden about a week before the two year anniversary), I've grown into an adult here, I've been living my lifelong dream. Tokyo life isn't all roses, but it's what I've always wanted.

In Sweden I will live with my mother(at first), which is wonderful, to hang out with mom and stuff. Only problem is that she lives in a village up north, population about 30people(all 50+). Nearest friend will be 500km's away. So.. going to that, from Tokyo will be rough.

In other news, I said I'd to what a 15year old does, while my friends little sister is here, and that seemingly is to sleep until 5 everyday. Gonna try and adult it up and get us up earlier from now on!

Cravings from the motherland

It's raining, the kind of super wet rain that soaks you from just looking at it, and a typhoon is seemingly on it's way. Because of that I don't really have anything to do but think about...
Candy!

Some things all swedes, when moving abroad, misses the most is probably Marabou Chocolate, crisp bread and pick & mix candy. I miss all of them, alot. However, both chocolate and crisp bread is available at IKEA, and it's rather easy for family/friends to send.
What I really really miss is the candy. Even though I sometime get some sent to me, it's just not the same, you know? It's the whole feeling about it, mixing your own bag, to fit just the kind of candy cravings you have right then. And it's cheap, too. Last time I checked it's about 1000yen for a KILO of candy.

However, I have indeed encountered pick & mix candy here in Japan though. But, well, not the same really. You can choose from a whopping 5 different candies(!), all hard candies, and you can put them into a tiny teeny little bag, and then it costs 160yen.

Well, better than nothing I guess.

A pretty standard swedish pick&mix candy aisle.

Elections and pancakes

Yeah man! Went to the Swedish embassy to vote in the upcoming swedish election!
It was interesting going there, and quite fun to see the surprised looks on they who worked there's faces, when around 20 young swedes bursted in. We got to know that it was mainly just people coming one and one, or maybe two, so he was glad to see so many that was interested in the election, at the same time, haha.
It's only the second time I've ever voted, and this time they didn't have the ballots for my party, so I had to do it on a blank one. Oh, choosing color, making sure you don't accidentaly take another parties ballot.. Ah.. Oh well, I managed to!

This was also the first time I went to Roppongi, I've kind of been avoiding it.
After being there, I can't really say I've missed anything. Okay, was kinda cool seeing Konami's office!

Also, we were going to go to the Swedish theme restaurant "Lilla Dalarna", who had moved locations. Unfortunatly, they decided to move, and in the process make it less themed, and more ordinary. Before the move I've been told they had dalahorses and other swedish things all around the restaurant, but when walking in to the new location it just looked like.. a restaurant. So, we left.
And! I drank pancake! It was reaally good though! But, I got terribly stomachache after drinking it, so.. uh, be careful!

Sorriez

I'm really sorry for not updating for quite a while. But it's my summer break, I'm in Sweden for the first time in 10 Months, and I'm also super sick. I've done some testes but they all came back negative, but the only definite thing is that my liver have had better days. Today is the first day in a week that I've been able to eat solid food and keep it. I'm generally starting to feel better, especially after the tests coming back negative, were some serious stuff I was tested for, phew.

As it looks now, I'm going back to Japan on Thursday just like planned,
but on Monday I'm visiting a big hospital to find out more.

Trees & legs

No ground breaking news lately.
Well, apart from me going to Sweden on vacation if everything works out as planned!
I'll go and arrive the 30th July and will be back the 13th August.

August seems like it's goin to be fun and foresty, since I'll go to Sweden, and my mother have moved to a village up in the north, and when I come back I will go with some friends to a cottage in the forest of Japan, somewhere around Nagano :D

I'm really happy about going to Sweden on vacation, since I've missed my family and friends quite alot.
I'll be going to three places, Uppsala(For my best friend), Sundsvall(for my father) and a village(for my mother and step dad), I'm going to eat so much I'll die.

My style's been experiencing some changes lately. I still wear pink and cutesy items, but I've started mixing in some more mature things. Maybe not mature in everyone's eyes, but compared to the piggytail-girl I was just a couple of years ago. I'm now looking like a grownup!
I no longer resent black and try to keep it away from myself, but welcome it a bit more, trying to do something more edgy.

Ikea, Lolita and Homemaking!

So, yesterday we went out to Ikea out in.. Chiba? (I don't know, CLOSE TO DISNEYLAND, atleast!). Me, Martin, Malin and Ylva, we were supposed to be 5 more though, but, the others fell out for different reasons.
However we did get a mail about three hours into the IKEA visit from the three guys that were coming, and they told us "are you still there? We're almost in Yokohama!". I believe we scared our fairshare of japanese people there, because Malin read it out loud and then we all paused for a second, to burst into uncontrollable laughter. Jeez. Chiba and Yokohama is in different directions, completly.

The reason for going to Ikea was to buy swedish food, for christmas! We did however also take a stroll through the usual IKEA, and of course, took the chance to eat some swedish food in the restaurant!
We mostly bought candles though. Scented candles, that smelled of christmas!

I also took this day to wear Lolita for the first time, in public, that is. T'was nice except that I kept worrying about my white cape..

Carepackage

I got a parcel from my mother today!
Random stuff, and a swedish magazine!
Ahaha, the happiness of reading of such interesting things like "wich relationship-type are you? Do the test!" "Tips for a happy sexlife, Oralsex guide!" and stuff.
Well, there was a crossword, so I had a happy few minutes with it.
