Everybody get's a second in the sun

The Kent concert this Saturday was awesome! I haven't seen them since 2008 when I saw them with my mother! The great thing about Kent is that there aren't a specific group of people listening to them, it becomes really apparent how big and widely loved they are when you are standing in queue for their concert. There's old grandmas, little kids, suits, indie kids, people wearing nothing but leather and spikes, girls with Chanel bags, in other words, a really diverse group of people, all loving the same band.
They have been said to be the band that captures the mind of a Swede, so I guess that's why.


Anyway! I got a surprise when I came to the entrance, the free ticket I had proved to be a VIP ticket! I didn't use "my priviledges" though, since as I understod it was just free champagne and standing in the VIP section, which was at the far back on a hill. But it still felt pretty sweet having the pass.

It'll be hanging looking smug in my room from now on.

And I finally went ahead and bought myself a t-shirt! I generally don't like band shirts because they are always made in that heavy cheap cotton with really tiny neckholes(and it's men sizes, but I have a hard time seeing a man get his head through that hole), but they were offering soft cotton shirts! Still men sizes though, so of course it turned out to be huge.

During the last song suddenly a combination of pyrotechnics, confetti and fireworks started!
The fireworks lasted long after the band had left the stage, and all in all it was all just so beautiful.

Kent concert!

Kent ("Swedens biggest rockband") is playing in Uppsala, and thanks to a sudden turn of events I can go! The tickets were really expensive so I didn't even bother, and planned to just sit outside and listen, since the concert is taking place outside Uppsala Castle.
But! Yesterday my faux Grandpa called, and told me he had put me on the list for Uppsala Castle employee + family! So I get to go, for free! But then again, I did work there for two weeks(as Warden of the Castle) when I was 14, so I guess it's all as it should be.

 Outfit and "facelook"(is that a real expression? Swedish bloggers use it all the time but I think it sounds a bit off.). I'm back to wearing falsies again! And I have no idea why I chose to wear my rattiest tackiest harley davidson t-shirt with holes all over it from being old, but oh well! 

And on an unrelated note, here's my new sunnies! Found them in Gothenburg in some kind of 100yen-ish danish shop!

New notebooks and small towns.

Even though I don't go to school at the moment, I bought two new notebooks the other day! They're so pretty, and were just 100yen/each, so how could I resist?

And yesterday I somehow found myself at a concert. Upon arrival I found out that the bassist of the band we were there to see works at my konbini. The levels of embarrassment/surprise is through the roof! That man has seen me buy chocolate in the middle of the night, in my pajama, without makeup. Dancing, superdrunk, sick, dressed as a goth, etc etc. And now suddenly he was a real person, in a band that I was about to see. The situation was rather awkward, but he turned out to be a really cool guy, and his band really good!
Luckily for me, when people heard that he worked at "My konbini" at the after party, he was the one being bullied, not me.
Tokyo is indeed a small town, sometimes.

Kyokutou Girl Friend and Sayonara Party

So last saturday me and my roomie went to see the band Kyokutou Girl Friend at Holiday Shinjuku. Since they are disbanding rather soon they have a weekly live thing, and we went to volume 2. Other bands playing where, 　トーマス(thomas),　ヴィデオグラマァ(video glamour),　LIPCHLICH, ドクターマルモット(Doctor Marmot), F’Ar÷EAST†KANφJO(Kyokutou Girl Friend alterego band), コドモドラゴン(Kodomo Dragon). First band was the KGF alterego band, wich was rather entertaining since they came up in early Visual Kei type of costumes (orange wigs, too much black makeup etc) and did some covers of that kind of bands.
Since it was Kyokutou Girl Friends event, the rest of the time was waiting. 6 hours of waiting to be exact. I had great hopes for both Doctor Marmot and Video Glamour but none of them were as I expected, so I was kinda disappointed.
When finally Kyokutou came up on stage all I could think was "I'll be going home soon!!", but disregarding that it was fun seeing them again, seeing how it was a bit over 2 years since I last saw them.

Oh how we hassled the staff woman, seeing how Martin wanted to buy fifty-eleven copies of everything they sold, haha.

After the concert, when I thought I was going home, we instead ended up going to an acquaintances Sayonara party, she's going back to Korea. It was fun and cozy as it always is(they usually have homeparties in her guesthouse). Me and my roomie decided to walk home instead of taking the train, and somehow the less than an hour long walk ended after 7 hours, walking all around the northwest part of Tokyo.

I know everyone has probably seen this already but I think it's funny!

So that was a lengthy post about nothing in particular!
My everyday life right now is a rollercoaster of one moment having so much doubts about myself(I barely graduated junior high, and now I'm trying to get a job?), to being super confident(nothing matters but willpower! I can do it!).

Awesome surprise concert

For a few weeks now my roomie had been bugging me about this upcoming concert.
Telling me we really really should go, and that he thought I'd really really like the band.
He never told me the name though, or gave some more info than "they play with other bands you like!".

So yesterday we went to Ruido K3 in Ikebukuro for this "secret" live where I found out the band name was へーけ(Hke). Didn't ring any bells. However, in the queue I was thinking "What a diverse fanbase!" since there were both young people and reaally old people and all that.
When we got in he immediatly said "let's go to the merch table!", and there were 2 CDs, an armthingy and some chekis(polaroids).
"Look closer at this CD, check the track list!" I did. Kotani Kinya covers. Wtf I thought. Looked closer. "Remixed and mastered by RIU" ..
RIU. RIU. WTH?!?!

Yeah! The live my roomie had kept so secret for me for so long was infact the second live of my biggest idol of all time, RIU(ex. Metronome, MaitoreiA).

Jikes! I grinned like this: ^___________________^ the entire evening.


So へーけ? It consists of Riu on bass, Kotani Kinya(you read right!) on vocal, Takefumi from Filter Fish on guitar and a support drummer I really recognize. Since they're so new they mainly play anime covers, Kotani Kinya covers and.. metronome covers!

This isn't a live report since I suck at that, but. At the first encore, noneother than Fukusuke showed up in casual clothing drinking a beer, hurridly changing his name to Korosuke to match the others (Kotani Kinya's bandname is: 平の怒っ涛 The raging waves of the plains, Riu's 平の奇天烈 The strange thing from the plains and Takefumi is チャイナの焼飯 China's fried rice for short Dottou, Kite & China)

It was.. so really awesome.. Best thing in a long time and you can BET I'll be there for their upcoming lives too!

So we meet at last

Today was time for another concert! Was about to write that it was the first one in a while, but then realized that I actually went to Cyber just earlier this week.

This time it was COSMO-SHIKI @ Koenji High, his first Oneman!
I admit not really knowing much about him and his soloproject, since I'm mainly interested in his band Shinjuku Gewalt, and his companions sideproject FLOPPY(Since Sharaku, one of my biggest idols is also a part of it.)
Well, regardless, it was a great live, even though it was noticable that he wasn't really that sure of what to do with ALL THE TIME. Oooh, all the time. Allll the time, just being there at his hands, wich resulted in ridicilously long MCs, in one he even called a friend. Yeah, for real.
It was hilarious at some points, but even the japanese who understood all things being said seemed kind of bored at some points.
Got to hear one of the best covers of Smells like teen spirit I've hever heard though, so I am pleased.

Before the live we walked around(for hours) in Kouenji, due to us being mistaken for it starting earlier.
Visited both SPANK! and Ticket to darling, the latter wich has eluded me for quite some time, but I found it today. Although for the untrained eye(haha) they seem the same, I say I prefer TTD, since it's more pastels, and more soft.
Speaking of the SPANK world, I saw the blogger FashionHayley quite randomly by Kouenji station. Mmmkay I thought it was really cool! Spent some moments gawking.

Making up!

So, been a bit off.. Again..
The reason? This:

A new shiny PSP and the game Youkoso Hitsuji Mura(Shepherds Crossing).

Oh, the time I've spent! But I'm so happy for it, I have really wanted a portable console, and finally I have <3>

Also, this Saturday (the ninth) we finally went to a concert that was completly in my taste.

Don't misunderstand me, I really enjoy concerts with bands like Hitotsume, Rainman, and so on, and I get all giddy by Cult Fiction, but it's not necessarily my thing.
My boom is rather bands like... Sandwich de 120pun?(the question mark is a part of the name) wich we went to see this saturday! Extasy! I'm a big Eijifan (vocalist), and loved all the stuff he's done since Makaroni-days(way back). It maybe sounds wrong to say "oh I love Eiji's bands!" but, really, all his bands sounds the same, and NOT in a bad way! My favorite band of his is Himitsu Kessha Codomo A(something along the lines of "Secret Agency Children A"), that has since long disbanded. But thankfully, Eiji and one of the guitarists, Takken, formed their own Label "Toketsu Kuma" in wich they let their silly ideas flourish. They also renamed themselfves to "Retasu"(Salad) and Hamu(Ham).
Anyway, we saw them! And I need to see tham again and again and again and again.

Next time I'll be seeing them is probably at Eiji/Retasu's 35year anniversary concert, wich has a gazillion weird rules I don't quite understand. Buying your tickets trough lawson costs 2000yen. Buying your ticket at the door costs 35000000yen! They also have other rules, like, all business men from India comes in for free, if your parents own a curryshop, you come in for free, if you have blonde hair, glasses and is under 35, free there too. It's probably a joke or something, but I still think it's funny, there's seriously a A4page filled with rules!

As, some might know, I am a huge Marie fan, and buy pretty much everything related to her. I have an army of plushies(lead by the epically superbig Marie from Disneystore), pens, erasers, mugs, socks, wallets, earphones, etc etc.

The newest add to it, was bought today at book off!

Yeah that's right! Marie, THE ALBUM.

It's brilliant, it even has a white furry slipcase! On it is 13 Aristocats remixes/inspired songs/etc, by various artists. First song is "everybody wants to be a cat" remix of the japanese version.

It's so funky I can barely contain myself, all jazzy and french but in such a japanese way!

Crappy update

Uhoh, no updates in a while.

Busy times. Lot's of stuff going on.

Quick rundown:

• Celebrating an awesome Swedish christmas
• Gone to concerts, OZ, Cult Fiction, and a random event(where I found a new favorite band, MiU)
• Saw the movie "Avatar" in 3D. Unfortunatly the jibberish parts was only subbed to Japanese
• Spent new years eve with Martin and Malin, stuffing ourself with Shakeys buffé, and watching the movie "Robots" <3
• Saw the movies "Nine" and "Toys", too.
• Ordered new weft. So as soon as it comes, I'll hopefully be more up to.. living.
• Bought too much Liz Lisa stuff. Gawd.

Day started with me meeting up Josephine in Takadanobaba before school.

I've been sick for two days this week, so she offered to help me catch up with what we were doing~~

Even though the smoking room at Café New Yorker got crowded with 20-ish boys who were really noisy, I learned!

Were supposed to attend a free concert tonight, Sweet Madonna's oneman at Ikebukuro Cyber, but since my shoes decided that taking in whater like a broken ship was a very nice idea to do on the rainiest day in a while, I skipped it.

Bought some makeup, though! Brilliant!

I bought an EdT from Canmake! I've been eyeing and smelling this one for a while, and finally decided to go for it! It's.. awesome.. Sugar berries..

And some Majolica Majorca Powder! I've been desperate for new one,

and the container for this was so cute ;o;

Due to a misunderstanding I ended up buying this + a refill,

Since I didn't understand that it came with powder inside..

We have an apartment now, in Mejiro (right by the Yamanote line).
